Here's how an average bathroom redesign project works, from start to end.
We start with an in-home walkthrough of your bathroom — assessing the layout, plumbing constraints, and what isn't working. You leave with a project process sheet that outlines exactly what your renovation needs and a tailored quote, before a single tile is pulled.

We measure the space, develop your layout, and produce drawings — floor plans, elevations, and plumbing layouts — before anything is ordered. Then we walk you through every tile, fixture, vanity, and finish until every selection is confirmed and coordinated.

If you already have a contractor, we walk them through the bathroom drawings so nothing gets misread on site. If you're still choosing one, we help you review bids. We offer ongoing oversight throughout the build to make sure your bathroom comes out exactly as designed.

We serve bathroom design clients in Geneva, Batavia, Elgin, South Elgin, and beyond. Same process, same level of care, every project.

Most kitchen remodels that go over budget or over schedule share one thing in common: decisions that were made in the wrong order. Here is what to know before anything is demolished or ordered.
Relocating drains and supply lines is one of the highest-cost decisions in a bathroom remodel — especially in older DuPage & Kane county homes with concrete subfloors. A good designer finds ways to achieve the layout you want without moving plumbing unnecessarily. If it does need to move, you will know upfront and the budget will reflect it.
Your floor tile and wall tile are the most visually dominant elements in a bathroom — and the hardest to change after the fact. Lock in your tile direction early. Every other selection — vanity finish, fixture metal, paint color — gets coordinated around it, not the other way around.
Inadequate exhaust ventilation causes mold, peeling paint, and warped cabinetry — problems that show up months after the remodel is complete. Exhaust fan placement and CFM rating need to be part of your design plan from the start, not an afterthought.
Any recessed niche, built-in bench, or shelf in your shower has to be framed before tile installation begins. These decisions cannot be made mid-build without adding significant cost. Lock them in during the design phase.
In a bathroom, dimensions are unforgiving. A vanity that is two inches too wide, a shower door that swings into a toilet, a tile pattern that doesn't account for a window — these are the mistakes that professional drawings catch before they become expensive realities.

Floor plans, elevations, plumbing layouts, and tile plans — everything a contractor needs to build accurately and a homeowner needs to visualize the finished space.
Full-service starts at $2,700 flat rate. Plans and drawings from $1,000. Hourly guidance at $200/hr. Clear quote provided after your free in-home consultation.
While we are based in St. Charles, IL, we regularly work with homeowners in Geneva, Batavia, Elgin, South Elgin, Carol Stream, Wheaton, and Naperville. If you're planning a bathroom remodel anywhere in Kane or DuPage County, we can help you create a clear, well-designed plan for your space.
Not required — but bathroom remodels have very little margin for error. In a small, plumbing-heavy space, professional drawings and a coordinated selections package consistently prevent the mistakes that blow budgets and timelines.
Design phase is typically three to five weeks — slightly faster than a kitchen due to smaller scope. Clear timeline given at the initial consultation.
Both. We work with yours or help you vet qualified bathroom contractors in the St. Charles and Kane County area.
